Hello,
Who knows where the time goes? sang Sandy Denny.
Last Wednesday we visited Biosphere 2 then drove to Lost Dutchman State Park west of Phoenix and wrestled to set up the tent in a fierce but warm wind, overlooked by a handsome rock we grew more fond of each day.
The Superstition Mountains must be responsible for the lack of connectivity that interrupted my daily log. I will have some catching up to do in the coming days. We spent five nights in Lost Dutchman, so there is plenty to relate but today has been a long day. (update here) We just parked (at 9:30pm) in Dead Horse Ranch State Park near Cottonwood AZ. It will dip below freezing tonight but the van is secured and warm.
The web-net seems to be working ok, so I’ll try to remember what I need to catch up on. With two nights here we plan on visiting Jerome, Sedona and this park ((we arrived in the dark), and planning the next leg of our trip: The Grand Canyon.
stay warm,
j
